With the country princess turned pop queen, Taylor Swift, touring for the first since 2015 this year. I think it is about time to review her sixth studio album, which dropped on November 10th 2017, Reputation. Were you ready for it? (I can tell you for a fact I was definitely not!)

Swift addresses her reputation through the narrative of her fifteen songs. The album is an empowered woman giving hugs to girls around the globe. Each song representing a relatable emotion: lust, love and revenge. All songs reference back to Taylor doing better than she ever was creating an upbeat, happy, feel good album for all swifties to shake it off to.

The song End Game second on the album with a brand new music video features Ed Sheeran and Future. I wasn’t aware I desperately needed a song featuring Taylor, Ed and Feature but I haven’t stop listening to the song since it was first released! Not only has the song got an addictive beat and a catchy chorus but includes two amazing raps. Swift demonstrates another of her talents through her rap portion of the song. Honestly is there anything she can’t do? Sheeran and Swift performed the song at the iHeart Radio Jingle Bell Ball for the fans delight. I am hoping she performs the song on tour!

Dress is the cooler, sexier, older sister of Wildest Dreams. With the pick-up-line lyrics “I only bought this dress so you could take it off” this song clearly explores theme of lust and the aftermath of it. This song is one of the acoustic songs on the album so don’t worry Swift definitely going too crazy with us all at once!

The first song released this era Look What You Made Me Do left fans shook and waiting anxiously for more. The song, which originally started as a poem, includes the iconic phrase “The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, cause she’s dead.” But is the old Taylor really dead? With the lyrics “Guess I’ll just stumble on home to my cats, alone,” in the song Gorgeous. I can’t be too sure.

All the songs on this record breaking album are incredible but some definitely own my heart more than others. A special mention must go to my favourite song Don’t Blame Me. This epic song has a great gospel/gothic sound with a racing rhythm and it tops it all off with powerful lyrics. Make sure to listen to this album soon and don’t blame me if you find it as gorgeous as the rest of us do!
